Whether it was carrying all sizes of musical instruments ,or stepping on or off buses or trains,or sitting next to Cary Grant, ALFRED HITCHCOCK made an appearance in most of his movies.
It became something any fan had to look out on a first viewing of a Hitchcock film.
There is a wonderful video of all Hitchcock’s cameos at RogerEbert.com
Was it a distraction,an indulgence? It was fun,but I wonder if it became a nuisance for the director. He eventually filmed his spot very near the beginning of each of his films.
Here’s a selection of his cameos.
his cameos always make me smile. love the Lifeboat one.
Lifeboat probably is the funniest, but I love him sitting next to Cary Grant in To Catch A Thief.
Great to have all these – I just saw ‘Stage Fright’ the other day and enjoyed the glimpse of him peering over Jane Wyman’s shoulder. The Lifeboat one is great, must agree!
The Lifeboat one is ingenious, isn’t it!
This is so cool — I have never seen Hitchcock in many of these!!
Glad you enjoyed them.
